Within a national competition, the Otto-von-Guericke-University Magdeburg was successful in setting up a prestigious research campus medical devices. Special congratulations go to Georg Rose on Oliver Speck as spokesman of this strategic project.
As part of the research campus on medical images (further information here), the CSE group was successful with two projects. PrecisionRob deals with increasing the precision of robots use for intra-surgery 3D diagnostics (for example Siemens Zeego units) by combining modern software algorithms/architectures with low-level electronic control. Certified paths aims at path-planning for medical robots according to highest safety standards.
